Week 4/52: It’s that time of year when Starbucks tells us we need pumpkin spice lattes to help us cope with the chilling weather as we trudge (or in my case, stomp) through the leaves that have been dusting the ground as of late. This morning as I left at dawn (which is like 7 o’clock here, no really), the ground was covered in this pretty layer of frost signalling that our short-lived fall is about to end. Apples need to be picked, cherries (STILL) need to be canned, and I’m going to try and savour every last fleeting moment of the autumn season before the snow falls in like three weeks.
What? You mean your parents never had to figure out how to make a Halloween costume that can fit over your snowsuit? Amateurs.
(Kidding, I’m secretly so jealous of all you people who don’t have winter for 7 months out of the year)
